Frequently Asked Questions

What is clipping in WiseImage?

Clipping is an operation that defines the subregion on the image for displaying, plotting or processing. If an image is saved with a clipped area in CWS file and later reopened, then only the clipped part will be loaded thus reducing load time and saving computer memory. Operations such as filtering and tracing can only be applied inside the clipping boundary that protects the rest of the image from unwanted changes. The clipped area can also be used for cropping.
